Friends of FAMA

RBH Designs has been an outstanding supporter of FAMA from the beginning. Their efforts have brought medical volunteers to Haiti—from as far away as Antarctica, California, and northeast USA. In March 2009 our Clinic was relocated, at which point RBH Designs assumed paying the rent for the new building. They have taken the initiative to build a sewing school to train people in preparation for creating a manufacturing facility in order to provide jobs and infuse the economy. This is even more urgent following the earthquake, since survivors have been forced to migrate to rural areas, such as Petite-Rivière, where there simply are no jobs.

In addition to the sewing school, RBH Designs is also a leader in fundraising for FAMA’s future projects: drilling of artesian well s, building of a new Clinic to include laboratory, X-ray equipment and operating room (designed in a modular fashion to allow the long-term goal of expanding into a state-of-the-art hospital to serve the Haitian population), and an organic agricultural program to provide food for the community as well as a source of income for farmers.

With their patented VaprThrm® insulation and extraordinary products, RBH Designs is a unique Company. They are visionaries who have not only changed the way people dress in extreme climates, but they have a much larger vision to assist the people in Haiti to become self sufficient.

I urge you to take a look at their extraordinary products which offer for unprecedented warmth. Be assured that every purchase you make from RBH Designs will not only keep you warm, but will help the cause in Haiti as well. Visit their site at www.rbhdesigns.com.

The Board members and the people of Petite-Rivière thank you, Nancy and Ryan, for your kindness and your continued loyal support to FAMA.
